Everton could be set to make a summer bid for Napoli midfielder Blerim Dzemaili, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The Swiss international has had an impressive season in Serie A this term, and could be interested in returning for another spell in England after a difficult time at Bolton Wanderers in the 2007/08 season. Dzemaili joined Bolton from Swiss side FC Zurich as a highly promising young player, but had bad luck with injury problems in his time at the Reebok Stadium, however he has since formed a decent career for himself in Italy with the likes of Torino and Parma before joining Napoli.
The 28-year-old has been with the Naples outfit since 2011, and although he has not always been a regular in the side, he has caught the eye of Everton manager Roberto Martinez this term with five goals and three assists in the Italian top flight.
The Toffees could be in need of new signings in midfield this summer with the future of loan star Gareth Barry still uncertain, and Dzemaili would appear to fit the bill as he could be available for relatively cheap.

Although valued at roughly 9million, Napoli may be willing to accept less than that as he would be in the final year of his contract next season. Rafael Benitez, meanwhile, is planning on making new signings himself in that position and may allow Dzemaili to leave.
