Harry Kane once again proved that he is one of the best strikers in world football with his goal and assist against Albania in Tirana. England captain scored his 33rd goal for his country with a fine header from a Luke Shaw cross. The game was for the 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign and puts England with two wins out of two. Harry Kane’s statistics for his club Tottenham Hotspur have been incredible this season:  joint top scorer in the Premier League and the outright leader in assists. In all competitions for Spurs, the striker has 27 goals and has set up 16 more.

In what was a routine win for Gareth Southgate’s side, Chelsea striker Mason Mount scored the second goal with a composed finish. The next game is against Poland and will want victory in a team that has world class Robert Lewandowski up front. Victory would move them to 24 games unbeaten.

Harry Kane has been going through somewhat of a wait for his goal, the last time he got on the score sheet was over 500 days ago against Kosovo, some 500 minutes ago.

Another standout performance was from Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden. In one of several chances, he saw the goalkeeper, Etrit Berisha, push his shot against a post just after half time after a good link up between Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling.

Overall, England fans will be pleased to see the ease in which chances are being created, however the more difficiault test will come against Poland on Wednesday. Should the team beat them comfortably then this will be a good result.
