Deulofeu has mainly featured as a substitute for Everton in his season-long loan with Roberto Martinez’s side but has hugely impressed in the chances he has been given.
The 20-year-old featured in 25 Premier League matches and contributed with three goals. Whether or not he will stay on at Everton next season remains unclear with Barcelona likely to be under new management. Nevertheless, Deulofeu made the list of six players regarded as Spain’s top youngsters as chosen by the technical committee of Futbol Draft. “It always costs us because there are people of high quality and there are positions in which we had much difficulty – this time in the forwards’ department because we almost had an overbooking. “We are happy because in the pipeline what we want are people who score goals and there are plenty of those,” Iaki Saz, president of Futbol Draft said. Joining Deulofeu were Valencia duo Juan Bernat, who has been attracting interest from Manchester United and Liverpool target Paco Alccer, who have both impressed in La Liga and the Europa League. Completing the list were Real Madrid’s Jes Rodrguez and Atletico Madrid midfielder Oliver Torres.
