Manchester United fans have been happy this week after the performance against rivals Manchester City last weekend. Whilst fans were confident of a result against Everton, Duncan Ferguson has revitalised the team meaning it was always going to be a difficult task.

On the day when Manchester United made it 4000 consecutive games with an academy graduate in their matchday squad, it was Mason Greenwood who scored the equalising goal.

The substitute came on for Jesse Lingard and his goal cancelled out Victor Lindelof’s own goal to ensure that United and Everton shared the point.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has had a turbulent few weeks as manager and his future is safe for the time being, a few bad results and this can all change again.

Overall The toffees will be happy with the result and will go back to Merseyside excited about the future. If Duncan Fergoson can keep this spirit going then there is no reason that he will be replaced by a new a manager. There are many good managers available so the outcome will be interesting to see.

What do you think of his performance this season and should Manchester United have won the game.
