Bayern Munich could be set to join the chase for Arturo Vidal as a replacement for Toni Kroos, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The Juventus midfielder has been one of the most impressive performers in Serie A for some time now, attracting strong interest from the likes of Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent months.
Although Vidal has insisted he is committed to Juve, he may be understandably tempted to link up with Pep Guardiola at Bayern, who look set to dominate both domestically and in Europe for many years to come.
The Bavarian giants currently look like losing influential playmaker Kroos in the summer, as he stalls on signing a new contract at the club, with Barca and Real also keen on him as one of their several midfield targets.
The German international’s departure would certainly be a blow to Guardiola’s side, but Vidal looks like a player who would be an ideal like-for-like replacement in that position. It will likely take a big-money bid to persuade the Italian giants to sell Vidal, and with the likes of Paul Pogba also being linked with exits from the club, they will be desperate not to lose too many of their best players in one summer.
