Manchester United could miss out on Brazilian Jorginho despite holding talks with the player’s agent recently – leaving the door open for their Premier League rivals, [football] direct news has learnt. The 22-year-old was part of the team that helped Hellas Verona win promotion to Serie A, with his displays catching the eye of clubs across Europe. Jose Mourinho and Brendan Rodgers were among those who made tentative contact over the player’s availability but have failed to follow up on their interest. The player remained at Verona for the first half of this season where he continued his good form before Napoli signed him on a co-ownership deal in January where he has gone on to make 11 appearances for Rafa Benitez’s side.
