Manchester United are hopeful of landing Kevin Strootman as they prepare putting in a 32m bid for the Roma star. The expected arrival of Louis van Gaal as manager of Man United has seen the club’s interest in the player rocket. Strootman had been in good form scoring six goals in 28 appearances until a cruciate knee injury ended his season while ruling him out of the World Cup. Il Tempo report that United will offically make their approach once Van Gaal has signed his deal to take over. But Roma do not want to lose the player they only signed last summer for 15m from PSV Eindhoven.
