Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata is intrigued by the title race in La Liga, which produced another dramatic weekend when Barcelona came back from 2-0 down to beat Villerreal 3-2. Leaders Atletico Madrid, who won 1-0 at Valencia, remain four points clear of Barca and six ahead of Real Madrid, who have a game in hand. Former Valencia man Mata, who also played for Real in his homeland, was delighted to see Barca dedicate the victory to their former head coach Tito Vilanova, who passed away last week. Writing in his personal blog he said: “Obviously FCB and, in general, Spanish football paid tribute to Vilanova throughout this weekend to be remembered.“Barcelona dedicated a victory to him after a very tough comeback in Villarreal and they follow the pace of the other two up there, namely: Atltico and Real Madrid.“Both teams keep pushing and Atltico still have the title in their hands.”Read more Manchester United transfer news.
