The Premier League’s two longest-serving managers meet each other tonight as Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal host Alan Pardew’s Newcastle United. Wenger is the longest-serving manager in the top four divisions in England at Arsenal, having been in charge of the north London club for 17 years and 209 days, while Pardew’s reign at Newcastle is the second-longest in the Premier League at three years and 140 days.Pardew is sixth overall in England’s long-serving managers, behind Exeter City’s Paul Tisdale (seven years, 306 days), Cheltenham Town boss Mark Yates (four years, 127 days), Russell Slade at Leyton Orient (four years, 23 days) and MK Dons’ Karl Robinson (three years, 353 days).¬†Newcastle are currently ninth in the Premier League with not much left to play for in their remaining three games, while Arsenal can all but clinch four place and Champions League football with a win against the Magpies at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night. Arsenal have won each of their last five games against Newcastle, who have lost their last three games to be played on a Monday.
