Turkish side Besiktas look set to face competition from their Turkish rivals Galatasaray for Chelsea misfit Demba Ba. Besiktas were understood to be in pole position to land the striker but with their Turkish rivals Galatasaray preparing to lose Didier Drogba they are now seeking out possible replacements. Ba struggled to hold down a place at Stamford Bridge last term but still popped up with vital goals for Jose Mourinho’s side towards the end of the season. Despite impressing recently, Mourinho had already made his mind up to replace his current strikers, who largely failed to impress last season. Ba, who had a successful period with Newcastle before Chelsea, now looks set to be on his way to Turkey, according to Sport Mediaset.
