Tottenham Hotspur are the latest club to be linked with a move for Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The Italian international has been linked with a whole host of top European clubs in recent months as he stalls on signing a new contract at the San Siro, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Roma also previously reported as keeping tabs on the player. Spurs are likely to be in need of defensive reinforcements this summer as Jan Vertonghen and Younes Kaboul both continue to be linked with moves away from White Hart Lane after a frustrating season.

Although the club spent heavily on improving their squad last summer, they have missed out on a Champions League place once again and may face a struggle to keep some of their star players. Ranocchia may be open to a move to England as he ponders his future at Inter, and Tottenham will be hoping they can lure him to the club as they look to rebuild this summer. Ajax youngster Joel Veltman has also been linked as a possible target for the north London outfit in that position.
