Tottenham Hotspur could rival other English clubs for the signing of Wolfsburg youngster Maximilian Arnold, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising young players coming through in German football at the moment, having drawn comparisons with Arsenal star Mesut Ozil in his playing style and ability.

Arnold managed seven goals and two assists in the Bundesliga this season, and has previously been linked with big names such as Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, and Tottenham will now be another major suitor looking to bring him to the Premier League.
The skillful attacking midfielder could be a useful signing for Spurs as they look to rebuild for next season after a disappointing campaign this year, and with other players in that position possibly set to leave in the summer. With Erik Lamela failing to impress since his 30million move from Roma, and Christian Eriksen attracting strong interest from other top clubs, Arnold could be an ideal replacement in that part of the pitch.
Tottenham are yet to appoint a new manager for next season, but Technical Director Franco Baldini is still believed to be identifying possible transfer targets for the upcoming summer window.
