Tottenham Hotspur are very much interested in Real Madrid stopper Iker Casillas but could lose out as Ligue One side Monaco prepare an attractive offer. Spurs are keeping their ear to the ground with regards to goalkeepers this summer as number one Hugo Lloris is targeted by both Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco. One target that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is hoping he can bring in to the club is Spanish national goalkeeper Casillas. However, it has been reported that Monaco are also looking at Casillas should they miss out on Lloris and are prepared to offer an attractive package for the 32-year-old. According to France Football, Monaco are ready to offer Madrid a loan package for Casillas with a view to a permanent move and the player an annual salary of 6 million. That would dwarf anything that Tottenham would be prepared to offer for the World Cup winner. Casillas has lost his place at the Bernabeu to Diego Lopez, but remains his country’s number one and will be in goal at the Brazilian World Cup this summer.
