Tottenham Hotspur could land Wesley Sneijder from Galatasaray if Frank de Boer takes charge at the club, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The Netherlands international has been linked with a move to the Premier League on several occasions in recent times, with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea also known to be fans of his.
Tottenham have also shown an interest in signing the former Inter Milan man, and although it has previously been suggested that the player would not be keen on a move to White Hart Lane, that could change if his fellow countryman de Boer is appointed as manager next season.
Tim Sherwood seems unlikely to be kept on at Spurs after a disappointing time in charge this year since Andre Villas-Boas’ sacking, and de Boer is among the favourites to take over at the club next term. Sneijder would certainly add some quality and experience to this Tottenham squad, with some of the club’s signings last summer failing to make the grade this season, showing their youth and inexperience at times. De Boer is also attracting interest from elsewhere, but the calibre of players he would be able to lure to Spurs would certainly be a welcome boost as well as his managerial credentials.
