Swansea City are looking to reignite their interest in Liverpool striker Iago Aspas with the Spaniard looking to move away from Anfield in search of first team football. Aspas joined Liverpool last summer for 8million from Celta Vigo but has only made 13 league appearances this campaign, the majority coming from the substitutes’ bench. Swansea were close to signing the Spaniard in January of last year but the move failed to materialise and the 26-year-old ended up at Liverpool six months later. Now, with Swansea looking to bulk up their attacking options for the coming season, the Welsh club are keen to offer Aspas a second chance in English football. Aspas is also attracting interest from his native Spain, with Sevilla and Valencia both keeping tabs on the striker with the summer transfer window around the corner. Aspas played an important role in Celta Vigo’s survival last campaign, scoring 23 La Liga goals for the Galicians.
