Inter Milan star Fredy Guarin has admitted to suffering a difficult season amid interest from Manchester United.
The 26-year-old was at the centre of transfer rumours during January with him coming close to leaving the club before a dramatic u-turn saw him sign a new deal for another three years. Despite revealing he had been hurt by the club’s intention to sell him the Colombian put all the negative press behind him when the new deal was signed – until last week when he came under fire from fans who questioned his commitment to the cause after costly mistakes in recent matches. But Guarin has insisted that he is delighted to be playing his football at the San Siro and is looking forward to next term with the club. “It’s been a difficult year,” he told reporters. “But we have to face up to those problems if we want to achieve our goals. “David Moyes had been tracking the star since last summer and could yet test the waters with a summer bid for the midfielder.
