Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro remains keen to stay and fight for the club despite his agent revealing he wants to play in Serie A. Speculation over Sandro’s future began after a fall-out with former boss Tim Sherwood that resulted in him being left out of the team for “not being good enough”. But now Sherwood has gone Sandro is keen to wait and see who the new boss is before making a definitive decision on his future, FootballDirectNews.com has learnt. Sandro joined Spurs in 2010 from Brazilian club Internacional and the 25-year-old has since become a fan-favourite at White Hart Lane.
The midfielder is held in high-regard but has suffered from injury problems which has limited his playing time but when fit and on form the player is seen as a driving force for the team. Sandro’s agent, Luiz Paulo Chignall revealed the player “would love to play in Serie A”, adding that his client could leave the north London club as early as this summer, despite still having two years left to run on his current contract. “Roma and Napoli? We have not had any direct negotiations,” he told Calciomercato. com.
