Tottenham have reportedly made an approach for Ajax boss Frank de Boer to become the club’s new head coach in the summer. Holland boss Louis van Gaal had been the odds-on favourite to replace Tim Sherwood as the club’s head coach in the summer, however, there had always been the suggestion that the Dutchman could be holding out on agreeing a deal in case the Manchester United job became available. Following David Moyes’ sacking from Man United last week, Van Gaal has become the favourite to replace the Scot at Old Trafford and there have been reports that a deal has already been reached between the two parties. Now, according to FOX Sports, Spurs have turned their attention towards De Boer, who has just won a fourth successive Eredivisie title with Ajax, and have made an official approach for the Dutchman to succeed Sherwood as head coach.
