Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is “clueless” about who to appoint next as manager with him still totally unsure who to go for, FootballDirectNews.com has learnt.  The Spurs chief has been linked with a variety of big name managers to replace Tim Sherwood – with Frank de Boer and Louis van Gaal thought to be among the front-runners. But despite claims of approaches to various candidates FDN has now been informed from a source close to the club that no approach has been made to any possible successor yet – news that will worry Tottenham fans with the summer fast approaching. Canny Levy is renowned for pulling off deals and driving a hard bargain, while he has proved to be no slouch when moving to install a new boss in the past. But on this occasion he is in a quandary at which road to go down – with him still undecided whether to opt for one of the Dutch pair, Mauricio Pochettino or Rafa Benitez, among others. Levy is still totally clueless about who he will appoint as the new manager, the source revealed. “It’s worrying that no decision has been made yet with no clear idea of which direction to go down. “Spurs sacked Andre Villas-Boas in December which prompted Levy to hand Sherwood an 18-month deal, who despite making a decent fist of the job is not considered a viable long term option for the club with his lack of experience.
