Liverpool and Tottenham look set to miss out on Napoli midfielder Valon Behrami, who prefers a move to Inter. Both Liverpool and Spurs have been chasing the former West Ham United midfielder with a view to a move this summer, although they look set to fall short of a deal for Behrami. The 29-year-old, according to Corriere dello Sport, is keen to stay in Italy where has spent the majority of his career since leaving Switzerland in 2003 and Inter, who are to undergo a major overhaul this summer, are also interested in the midfielder. Behrami, as a result, is likely to move to Inter this summer after making only 21 Serie A appearances for Napoli this season, turning down the advances of both Liverpool, who would offer Champions League football, and Spurs. Behrami has made 70 appearances in all competitions for Napoli since joining from Fiorentina in 2012 and was part of the Azzurri side to win this season’s Coppa Italia.
