A group of Arab investors are close to agreeing a takeover deal at Valencia and want to make Liverpool’s Luis Suarez their first big name signing, according to reports in Spain. The Singapore businessman Peter Lim failed in his attempts to buy the Spanish club in January. Now, a group of Arab businessmen based in London are close to a deal to buy Valencia and have asked Liverpool for the price of the Uruguayan striker. Suarez has been one of the top performers in Europe this campaign, scoring 29 goals in 27 league matches as well as providing 11 assists. Liverpool do not want to lose their key man at any cost as they are almost certain to qualify for the Champions League next season. However, they have put a 65million tag on Suarez if any team would be willing to pay over the odds for the player, according to Spanish radio station La Trastienda.
