Roma have had a resounding “no” from Chelsea after they enquired after the availability of the striker, according to reports. Chelsea striker Lukaku has been in outstanding form once again this season, playing on loan at Everton.
That has led to speculation as to where he will play next season, with suggestions that he could be sold to a foreign club rather than one of Chelsea’s Premier League rivals. Roma were rumoured to be ready to take the 20-year-old forward on a 24 month deal with an option on a permanent deal, according to Il Messaggero.
However, a report on Frichajes. net said that Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini had got in contact with the Blues with regards to securing a move for Lukaku but were told “he is not for sale”. Lukaku’s future at parent club Chelsea remains uncertain, especially with the Blues being linked with a number of potential candidates. According to reports, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is ready to send Lukaku out on loan once more in favour of signing more experienced players. Chelsea have been linked with moves for Edinson Cavani, Radamel Falcao and Diego Costa who they are believed to already have an agreement with.
