Everton welcome back Phil Jagielka ahead of their home game against Manchester City, although the defender was absent during for their eight-game winning run. Everton welcome Man City to Goodison Park on Saturday in what will be the Toffees’ last home game of the season. Roberto Martinez is able to call upon Leighton Baines, who had picked up a slight knee injury during the 2-0 defeat to Southampton last weekend, and Jagielka for the game against title hopefuls City. While Jagielka’s return from injury is a welcome boost for Everton, the defender was forced to watch the side record seven straight Premier League wins without him in the side – a run that began as soon as he was out of the side. However, with his side reduced to a second-string partnership in defence, Martinez will be glad to welcome back Jagielka after disappointing defeats to Crystal Palace and Southampton, either side of a win against Manchester United.
