FootballDirectNews.com understands that Real Madrid officials are preparing a summer swap deal involving Diego Lopez and Tottenham Hotspur keeper Hugo Lloris.
The news of Diego Lopez’s proposed summer exit from Real Madrid comes after heavy criticism following a disastrous week for the Spanish side that saw them lose to bitter rivals Barcelona and Sevilla, thus going from top to third in the standings. Spanish daily’s Mundo Deportivo and Marca have both since pointed to his exit, with both claiming that he was left exhausted after receiving jeers from the home crowd against Rayo Vallecano at the weekend, despite keeping a clean sheet. Lopez has a current deal with Madrid until 2017 but many are expecting him to leave this summer with Italian side Napoli interested. But, [FDN] understands that officials at Santiago Bernabeu will look to use their recent transfer dealings with English side Spurs and propose a swap deal that would see French keeper Hugo Lloris move to Spain. Lloris has been in world class form this season and has been linked with numerous top European teams.
The French international has not discussed his future this season, nore have Spurs on his availibility but with a growing French influence at Real Madrid that includes the likes of Raphael Varane, Karim Benzema and assistant manager, Zinedine Zidane; a move could not be out of the question.
