Paris Saint-Germain could move for Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure as an alternative to Paul Pogba, according to France Football.
The 30-year-old has been in superb form for City this season, taking his game to a new level under Manuel Pellegrini to score an incredible 21 goals from the middle of the park, as well as providing five assists.
The Ivory Coast international has long been thought of as one of the best in the world in his position, and PSG may now be tempted to add a player of his pedigree and experience to their squad to help them improve in the Champions League next season.
The French giants have come under plenty of criticism after losing to Chelsea in Europe last week and exiting the competition at the quarter-final stages again, leading many to question the experience of some of the players in the side. Juventus youngster Paul Pogba has long been linked with PSG, and is a similar style of player to Toure, though the Ligue 1 champions may now favour Toure’s experience over the youthful promise of Pogba. City will no doubt be reluctant to lose one of their best players, but may feel it would be a good financial decision to accept a big-money offer for a player heading towards the last few years of his career.
