Juventus star Paul Pogba is reportedly keen to sign for Real Madrid over other potential suitors this summer, according to Fichajes. net.
The 21-year-old, widely regarded as the best young midfielder in the world, is in high demand ahead of the next transfer window after another superb campaign in Serie A with Turin giants Juventus.
The likes of Chelsea and Arsenal have been linked with the French international in recent times, as have his old club Manchester United, who surprisingly let him go just two years ago after he failed to make an impression on previous manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Paris Saint-Germain have also been strongly linked with the youngster, though it has now emerged that his preference would be a move to the Bernabeu, and a chance to link up with fellow countrymen Raphael Varane and Zinedine Zidane. Zidane, now assistant manager at Real, famously made a then-world-record move from Juventus to Madrid in 2001, and has since gained legendary status at the club, which could provide motivation for Pogba to follow in his footsteps. Varane is also a promising young French player and friends with Pogba through their connection in their country’s national team. Juventus have been linked with Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho as a possible replacement for Pogba. Watch Arsenal v Man City Saturday or Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur Sunday.
