Odds on Louis van Gaal to replace Tim Sherwood as Tottenham head coach in the summer have tumbled with bookmakers following Ruud Gullit’s latest claims. Gullit claimed on BBC Radio 5 that Van Gaal, who will leave his post as Holland boss after the World Cup this summer, met with Daniel Levy at the Spurs chairman’s house, adding that it is a “done deal” for the Dutchman to succeed Sherwood in the summer.  Van Gaal had been one of the favourites to replace Sherwood in the summer, with claims that Levy had originally hoped to appoint the current Holland national team coach when Andre Villas-Boas departed earlier this season, but he is now the heavy favourite following Gullit’s claims on the radio today with various bookmakers.
The Holland boss is available for as short as 1/4 with Stan James, while both Bet Victor and Paddy Power price Van Gaal at 1/3, compared to odds of 7/1 available just seven days ago.  Watch Arsenal v Man City Saturday or Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur, Sunday.
