Manchester United will fight Arsenal for Brazilian midfielder Luiz Gustavo – who could yet snub both clubs as they look set to miss out on the Champions League. The midfielder was a key part of Bayern Munich’s Champions League winning side last season but moved to Wolfsburg afterwards. The star has been in fine form this season – alerting clubs across Europe. The 26-year-old, though, has a current deal at Wolfsburg until 2018 and has not made any decisions on his future yet but could yet stay with the Bundesliga side who are in sixth place just one point off the Champions League places. With United out of contention for Europe’s top prize and Arsenal facing a struggle to overturn Everton Gustavo may decide he is better off staying where he is.
