[football] direct news understands that Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana has received offers from Premier League clubs but Chelsea are not one of those. The 25-year-old midfielder has had a breakthrough year in terms of recognition from media, other clubs and the England national team and his performances have prompted a number of reports stating he will leave Southampton this summer. Whilst the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City have shown interest, reports in March claimed that Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea had made a bid. However, [football] direct news understands that Southampton are yet to receive contact from Stamford Bridge but have received calls from two other clubs – Liverpool and Manchester United. It is understood that both David Moyes and Brendan Rodgers are keen to add the midfielder and freshen up their midfield options for next season.
