Jose Mourinho is right to complain about Chelsea’s crunch match with Liverpool tomorrow not being brought forward, according to England legend Gary Lineker. The Blues boss has been scathing in his assessment of the fixture pile-up that sees his side face the Reds just three days before playing Atletico Madrid in the return leg of the Champions League semi-final. Mourinho feels the FA should do more to help English teams in such a predicament, as they do in other leagues, with games often moved to a Friday or Saturday to provide extra recovery time between matches. The former Real Madrid boss has now threatened to field a weakened team against the Merseysiders with him now prioritising the Champions League over the Premier League with his side five points adrift of the Reds with just three games to play. And Lineker agrees that not enough is done in England to help teams in Europe. Totally agree with Mourinho that CFC’s game with LFC should’ve been moved to today. Stupid not to help our teams out in the Champions League, he wrote on Twitter.
