Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is set to make a summer move for Sevilla defender Alberto Moreno, [football] direct news understands. Despite a successful Champions League campaign so far for Chelsea, boss Jose Mourinho is set to make a number of summer changes that will see some of the club’s most heralded veterans leave. Frank Lampard, John Terry and Ashley Cole are expected to be allowed to leave and it is the latter who Mourinho is planning to replace with Spanish defender Alberto Moreno. Moreno, currently with Sevilla, has been on the radar of Real Madrid and although talk of a switch to Carlo Ancelotti’s side is developing, Mourinho remains keen that he can scupper any deal. The 21-year-old has been in superb form this season and has played a big part of Sevilla’s Europa League campaign which sees them face Valencia in the upcoming semi-final. His current deal at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium expires in 2018 and it is understood that his release clause is set at 25m.
