Monaco are looking into the possibility of bringing Romelu Lukaku to the club in the summer but not in a deal that would see Radamel Falcao go to west London. Lukaku has been in impressive form once more this season out on loan at Everton, scoring 10 Premier League goals and helping his club put pressure on the European places. Lukaku also netted 17 times with West Brom last season.
While there would be no shortage of suitors for Lukaku in English football, a move to another Premier League side is unlikely.
Blues coach Jose Mourinho will sell striker Lukaku, believing the striker lacks the mentality to play for his side. However, the Portuguese boss will not contemplate selling the Belgian to another Premier League side – shutting the door on Everton. According to a report in TMW, Monaco are preparing a 20 million raid on Chelsea for the 20-year-old and the player’s agent Mino Raiola has already made contact with the Monegasque club. Any move for Lukaku is unlikely to see Falcao join the west London club, however, with the Colombian recently saying he intends to play in Monaco for “many years”.
