Manchester United could join Everton in the chase for in-form Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The Colombian international has had a superb first season in Spain, having only just joined Sevilla last summer from Belgian side Club Brugge, but is already attracting plenty of interest after a highly prolific campaign. Bacca has netted 19 goals in all competitions to spark rumours of interest from Everton, and United could also be interested in signing him as they seek to make some changes to their options upfront this summer. After a difficult season for the Red Devils, there have been doubts recently over the futures of attacking trio Robin van Persie, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck, which suggests United’s new manager will have some signings to make upfront. Big names such as Edinson Cavani have also been linked with a move to Old Trafford, but Bacca could also be brought in as an option to rotate with a more high-profile name.
This will be more unwelcome news for Sevilla, who already face the prospect of losing star players such as midfielder Ivan Rakitic and young left-back Alberto Moreno to bigger clubs before next season.
