Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is keen to coach the Argentine national side during his career.
The former midfielder has been linked with a sensational move to Manchester United in the past week with many predicting him as the favourite to replace David Moyes at Old Trafford. Simeone’s success at Atletico Madrid has been remarkable, helping them win the Europa League and the beat city rivals Real Madrid to the Copa del Rey trophy last season.
Hus current deal at the Vicente Calderon is due to expire in 2017 and whilst he remains confident of a long stay at the club, reports of links to Manchester United have forced reporters to question his future.
However, rather than speak on such reports, the former Inter Milan player decided to speak about his dreams to become coach of Argentina in the future. It is definately a goal I imagine myself going for, in the long run, he told Spanish television. But I actually see my coaching career as different to Spain’s best coaches, Vicente Del Bosque and Luis Aragones. “They gave their best to the team at a mature stage in their career. I feel very fresh.  The goal is there and hopefully there’ll be a moment when it’s the right time for both of us. ”
