On-loan Manchester United striker Bebe is the favourite in Portugal to win the country’s Young Player of the Year award. Bebe has spent the season on loan at Pacos Ferreira, where he has recently enjoyed a prolific run of form – scoring eight goals in his last 11 league games – and has been attracting interest from a number of potential suitors.
The striker, who was a surprise signing in 2010 as he was infamously purchased for over 7 million without then manager Sir Alex Ferguson watching him play, has found life at Old Trafford difficult, spending most of his time out on loan.
This season, the 23-year-old has shown why Man United were tempted into purchasing Bebe with his form at Pacos Ferreira and he has been tipped to scoop Portugal’s Young Player of the Year award. Bebe will be given the chance to impress his parent club, whom he has recently revealed he has not received any contact by during his loan spell this season, when Man United scouts are in attendance at Pacos Ferreira’s game with Sporting Lisbon, who include Red Devils target William Carvalho in their ranks, on Saturday.
