Manchester United boss David Moyes has sent scouts to cast an eye over Ander Herrera in Athletic Bilbao’s visit to Barcelona. Basque midfielder Ander Herrera has once again been in superb form this season for Athletic Bilbao and has forced Premier League club Man United to maintain their long term interest. It was back in 2012 that United first knew of Herrera’s talents after he was part of the Athletic side that knocked Sir Alex Ferguson’s side out of the Europa League, beating them at Old Trafford. And, new boss David Moyes, who is thought to have been keen on Herrera whilst with Everton is considering making a summer move. So much so infact, that the Scottish boss has instructed scouts to cast a closer eye on the combative midfielder and it is understood that United’s men will be in attendance as Athletic face Barcelona at Nou Camp on Sunday evening.
Herrera is keen to remain with the Basque club but has discussed interest from United in the past in good light.
However, his release fee of 37m is likely to cause Moyes some problems ahead of a summer move.
