Arsenal and Manchester United could turn Paris Saint-Germain defender Maxwell as his teammate establishes himself in first team. Twenty-year-old left-back Digne joined PSG last summer on a long term deal, but has made just 14 appearances for the club this season. Coach Laurent Blanc has preferred to use the more reliable and experienced Maxwell in his stead. However, although Maxwell remains highly thought of at PSG, according to Le 10 Sport, Digne is set to assume the first team spot after playing the last three games in Ligue One. That could open the door for 32-year-old Brazilian Maxwell to make the move to the Premier League this summer. United are looking for a worthy replacement for soon-to-be out of contract Patrice Evra. Although United are expected to make a move for Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao, they could be tempted by a move for the relatively cheap Maxwell. Arsenal too are reportedly looking to strengthen their left-back position as well as sign a new right-back with Bacary Sagna discussing a return to France.
