Manchester City’s Javi Garcia is being pursued by two La Liga clubs who want to offer the unsettled midfielder a move back to Spain, [football] direct news understands. Valencia and Real Sociedad are interested in Garcia as both clubs look to strengthen their midfields in the coming transfer window. Valencia are only prepared to offer a year-long loan deal which would include an agreed price to land the player on a permanent deal, while Real Sociedad are willing to sign the player outright. Garcia has struggled to hold down a first team place since his 15.8million move from Benfica in 2012 and is unhappy with his lack of playing time. The Spaniard came up through the ranks at Real Madrid but was subsequently sold to Osasuna where he impressed in his year at the club. He was then bought back by Real Madrid, only to be sold to Benfica before completing his big money move to Manchester City after three terrific seasons with the Lisbon club.
