Malaga have completed a deal to sign Stuttgart full-back Arthur Boka on a free transfer. The 31-year-old right-back will leave the Bundesliga side this summer after spending eight years with Stuttgart, making 196 appearances. A number of clubs had shown interest in the Ivorian defender as his services were available on a free transfer but it is now confirmed by his agent that he will join La Liga side Malaga. The Andalusian club’s financial woes are well known so the deal was both benefitial to them and Boka, who will put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal. Boka’s agent Rusmir Dzebic cited a need for a new challenge when quoted in Tuttomercato: “Arthur has also had requests from a number of other clubs, but opted for a new challenge in a league between the best in Europe.”Malaga currently sit 12th in the La Liga table, sitting both on the edge of a European and relegation battle.
