Juventus are close to securing the signature of Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. The Spanish striker is highly sought after, with the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal chasing the player as well as clubs in Italy and Spain. However, according to a report in Tuttosport, Serie A champions Juventus claim to be “ahead of other contenders” in the race for Morata’s signature. The 21-year-old is apparently willing to relocate to Turin and play for Juventus, a club that has won three titles in a row and will compete in the Champions League next season. Morata was also being chased by Juventus’ Serie A rivals Napoli and Inter Milan as well as the Premier League pair. However, Juventus appear to be leading the race, with Morata certain to leave the Bernabeu this summer. The former Spain U21 international has found playing time hard to come by this season, losing out to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Jese Rodriguez.
