Real Madrid have made contact with the agent of Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic over a summer move to the Spanish capital.
Madrid are looking to add Sevilla midfielder Rakitic to their squad next season after an impressive season in La Liga for the Croatian. Rakitic, 26, has notched 11 goals and 10 assists to help Sevilla challenge the top of the league. Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or in the deeper defensive positions, Rakitic has been on the radar of Madrid for some time.
However, according to Frichajes. net, the Croatian is now unsure of what he wants to do in the summer. It was thought he would be keen to stay at Sevilla for another season, however, the fact Madrid have been in contact with his agent has thrown doubt in his mind. Rakitic’s arrival at the Bernabeu would almost certainly spell the end for some of the stars already on the Madrid books, with Liverpool and Chelsea target Isco expected to leave in the summer.
