Real Madrid are ready to enter the race to sign Manchester United target Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund. The Spanish giants are looking at Reus to come in and compete with French striker Karim Benzema for the number nine position in the Madrid forward line next season, according to a report in Frichajes.net. Reus has widely been linked with a move away in the summer with United and Arsenal both linked with moves as well as Barcelona until the recent transfer ban from Fifa was imposed on them. With strike partner Robert Lewandowski leaving Dortmund at the end of the season, Reus is expected to follow suit and will command a fee of around 30 million. The German international can be utilised in a number of positions along the front line, either as a winger, the focal striker or dropping deeper as an attacking midfielder. United were looking at Reus to come in and work with Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata at Old Trafford next season, but will now find their path hindered by Madrid’s interest.
