The 23-year-old’s future remains unclear after having been sent out on loan in the last three seasons but still has one more year on his contract with Barcelona.
His first loan spell came in 2011 when he was sent to AS Roma under Luis Enrique, who is the heavy favourite to be chosen as the new Barcelona manager for next season. Liverpool have shown interest in the past and could be tempted to approach the striker, who will be available on a cut-price fee due to his contract expiring next year. Bojan, on his behalf, sent his gratitude to Ajax where he has spent the current season on loan and helped the club to their fourth straight Eredivisie title. “Thank you Ajax for this incredible year! The former Spanish international will now have to wait until Barcelona confirm whether Enrique will be taking over to see if he has a future at the Camp Nou.
