Bojan has been with the Dutch giants since the start of the season and helped his side earn their fourth consecutive Eredivisie title after Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Heracles.
The 23-year-old is still under contract with Barcelona for one more year but his future remains in doubt with the Catalans having loaned him out to three different clubs in the last three seasons. Bojan remains unclear about his future but stated after Ajax’s title win that a return to the Camp Nou is among his options. “To return to Bara is evidently an option, I have a year left on my contract at Bara. We will see, I need to assess what’s best for me and my progression,” he told Cadena Cope.
His loan agreement with Roma in 2011 stated that the Italians would have to 23million to retain the player’s services but due to their decision not to sign him, Barcelona had to buy him back for 10million. Liverpool have shown an interest in the young forward in the past and would consider a move should he become available again, though Barcelona will reassess his situation in the summer.
