Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is set to share the European Golden Shoe with Cristiano Ronaldo after the Real Madrid forward failed to start their match with Espanyol. With the Premier League season having ended last weekend, Liverpool striker Luis Suarez ended his campaign on 31 goals and shared the lead in the Golden Shoe race with Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo and Madrid had one more game to play, against Espanyol this Saturday but the Portuguese forward failed to complete his warm-up and was replaced by Isco in the starting eleven. Meaning, Suarez and Ronaldo will now share the Golden Shoe, if Barcelona’s Lionel Messi does not score a hat-trick in the La Liga title decider against Atletico Madrid on Saturday evening. Atleti’s Diego Costa is next on the list with 27 goals, whilst Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez is then in fourth on 18 goals.
