Liverpool will step up their chase for Serie A stars Gokhan Inler and Valon Behrami in the summer. Brendan Rogers has been tracking the Napoli midfielders after their fine performances this season as he seeks strength in depth for next season’s Champions League campaign. Infoticker.ch, says the Anfield club have already made contact with the Italian club and are likely to firm up their interest when the season finishes and they know whether are in the Champions League. Rogers believes Behrami, who played in the Premier League for West Ham United from July 2008 to January 2011, would not have any problems adjusting to English football. He scored five goals in 62 appearances for the Hammers. Inler, like Behrami, is a Switzerland international, with the player being at Napoli since July 2011 after a lengthy spell at Udinese. His other clubs were FC Aarau and FC Zurich, but the 29-year-old has been in Serie A since July 2007.
