Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho says he and his team-mates will do everything they can to secure a glorious end to the season. The title-chasers are in free-scoring form and still have to play two of their rivals for top spot – Chelsea and Manchester City – at Anfield. Frenchman Sakho, a summer arrival from cash-rich Paris Saint-Germain, believes the Reds are in an excellent position to at least seal their target of Champions League qualification. He told Sky Sports News:  “With nine matches left we still have a lot to do to get there (to the title) but the objective was to get into the Champions League and we are in a really good position now.“We will do everything we can and take it match by match.”Towering centre-half Sakho also hailed the job being done by manager Brendan Rodgers, who has exceeded expectations this term. He added: “Liverpool have got better and better since the beginning of the season. Brendan Rodgers is a great coach and we are getting even better towards the end of the season.”Read more Liverpool transfer news.
