Inter Milan are hoping to seal a deal for Cruzeiro midfielder and Liverpool target Nilton by the end of the month, according to reports. Inter president Erick Thohir has made finding a replacement for aging midfielder Estaban Cambiasso a priority is close to sealing the transfer pf Nilton. Italian source Tuttosport report that Inter are determined to conclude the deal by the end of April thus ending interest from Liverpool. The Brazilian defensive midfielder was previously linked with a move to the Premier League leaders as well as Valencia. The 26-year-old Cruzeiro midfielder recently stated that he was keen on a move to the San Siro. Nilton’s agent has been trying to open the doors with a view to a move to Europe for some time and is now talking with Inter. The player has a ˆ5.5million (4.5m) release clause, but it is understood he could leave Brazil for as little as 3.5m. Nilton is a very strong defensive midfielder which has earned him the nickname ‘The Colossus’ in Brazil.
