Sunderland’s on-loan Capital One Cup hero Fabio Borini will be given the chance to prove his worth at Liverpool next season.
The Italian – signed by the Reds from Roma in 2012 – scored the Black Cats’ only goal in their 3-1 Wembley defeat to Manchester City on Sunday and has struck six times at senior level this season.
And his industry has been having a big impact on the thinking of Anfield chief Brendan Rodgers, who intends to give the star a chance to prove his worth in the 2014/15 campaign.
