Napoli boss Rafa Benitez is set to make a summer move for Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa. Former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has maintained strong links with Real Madrid after he sealed the services of Raul Albiol, Jose Callejon and Gonzalo Higuain last summer and it is thought that he will indeed continue those by making a move for Alvaro Arbeloa. The 31-year-old defender has seemingly lost his place in the Madrid starting eleven, following niggling injuries and the good form of youngster Daniel Carvajal, who has been called up to Spain’s World Cup squad. Arbeloa, who was initially signed by Benitez for Liverpool back in 2007, would welcome a move to secure first team football and join his former boss. Another former Reds player Pepe Reina, who is on loan with Napoli, could also remain in Naples after moves continue to be made to secure the keeper on a permanent basis.
